I don't know what the critics were thinking; I really dug the new "Melrose Place". A solid, soapy show with a lot of interesting new characters (and some old favorites from the original series). Katie Cassidy, who I loved in "Supernatural" and "Harper's Island", was a standout as the bisexual Amanda Woodward-esque character. Michael Rady, playing the nu-Billy, was very adorkable, and who wouldn't drool over Colin Egglesfield as the nu-Jake (I was totally shocked at the last bit in the episode of his character?)
